The Central Energy Trust provides grants to community, sporting, educational, cultural and health organisations within the Manawatu/Tararua regions for projects which are energy-related and which will benefit the consumer's of the former CentralPower/ElectroPower energy companies. The range of organisations that benefit from funding provided by the Central Energy Trust can be seen by the assortment of photos displayed throughout the website.

The Central Energy Trust also provides up to ten academic bursaries and five trade bursaries each year to students to provide assistance with the cost of their tertiary education and training.

Community Grants
The last grant round was held in May 2011 with some $1,033,783 being approved to forty six organisations.

Bursaries
Applications for the 2012 Bursaries have now opened. Applications must be at our offices by 5:00pm, Friday, 11 November 2011. Shortlisted Applicants will need to attend an Interview on Thursday 8 or Friday 9 December 2011. To download a copy of the application form please click here.
